Zaha Hadid en Barcelona

Ayer se colocó en el Fórum de Barcelona la primera piedra del que será el edificio insignia de Zaha Hadid en Barcelona. La obra, llamada en un inicio torre espiral, está promovida por el Consorcio de la Zona Franca de Barcelona y ocupará unos 26.100 metros cuadrados.   El edificio dispondrá de oficinas en las plantas superiores y espacio para dependencias universitarias a medida que se desciende. La torre, de la única arquitecta con premio Pritzker de arquitectura, tendrá unas vistas directas al mar y quiere representar el puente donde confluyen el mundo universitario, la investigación y las empresas.

El edificio se llamará edificio B-Tec y estará enmarcado dentro del campus interuniversitario diagonal-besós. Está previsto que la UPC traslade la Escola Universitària d’Enginyeria Tècnica Industrial de Barcelona (EUETIB), así como la Escola Tècnica Superior d’Enginyeria Industrial de Barcelona (ETSEIB).
